About Auditory Processing Center

We are a small private practice located in Clinton, Mississippi (just outside Jackson, Mississippi) specializing in assessment and treatment of Auditory Processing Disorder (APD). We provide thorough auditory processing disorder evaluations and customized, deficit-specific therapy based on each individual’s unique profile. Auditory Processing Center also offers virtual auditory processing evaluations through telehealth and teletherapy for auditory processing disorder.  We also offer auditory training services both in-clinic and through teletherapy for children and adults with hearing loss.  Our expertise helps individuals overcome processing deficits that interfere with comprehension and communication, thereby enhancing learning and academic performance. We also provide consultations for patients throughout the United States and internationally.

Due to the high quality and unique nature of our services, it is not unusual for families to travel to Auditory Processing Center from other states for an evaluation and/or treatment. We are committed to dedicating as much time as necessary for each appointment and ensuring you understand the rationale behind our recommendations.

A full Auditory Processing Disorder evaluation takes approximately 3-4 hours followed by a 1 ½ to 2 hour counseling session the same afternoon to go over test results and recommendations. We provide parents with immediate feedback, individualized, detailed treatment recommendations, helpful teaching strategies, and guidelines for academic accommodations. Our team offers same-day feedback to help you understand your child’s unique profile and feel empowered to begin addressing their needs without delay. The test scores and summary, along with primary recommendations, outline the next steps to help your child reach their full potential. This feedback enables you to immediately start treatment to help your child and to share this information with your child’s teachers and other healthcare providers before receiving the full report.

Our team is dedicated to providing the best service for listening and learning difficulties, helping your child get on the path to future success. Our cheerful, fun atmosphere and warm, friendly team immediately put children at ease, and they enjoy our playroom during breaks and while we meet with parents. In fact, we often hear children say, “I love this place!” and “I could stay here all day.”
